Is my fuse box safe
In United Kingdom houses are still wearing old fuse boxes that are completely without protection.
How do I know my Fuse box isn’t safe?
-
-
You have an fuse box with wooden back.
-
Cast iron switches
-
Fuse box enclosure is made of plastic.
-
Doesn’t incorporate residual current devices.
-
Unsafe electrics could put your life and that of your tenants in danger. Don’t take the risk, get a modern Fuse Box installed.
Do I need any other works if my electrics are old?
-
Certain properties just need rewiring due to increased signs of wear and tear, absence of Isolation Switches in the Kitchen.
-
If the electrics are good for providing service, the most common thing needed is the earth bonding. Is mandatory that earth bonding is present before any electrical work can be undertaken.
